Prospector 1 is a purpose built state of the art 33ft (9.9M) charter angling vessel. Skipper Peter Power, will bring you fishing in Donegal Bay from the idyllic harbour of Mullaghmore, County Sligo, Ireland (March through October).

Welcome onboard Prospector 1, from Mullaghmore, Co Sligo. You are about to experience the wonders of deep sea angling on the west coast with the best skipper in Ireland.

 

Deep sea angling trips

Sea fishing trips (inshore, offshore, reef, sand or mixed ground).

Game fishing trips (skate, blue shark and blue fin tuna while in season).

All game fishing is catch and release.

 

Sight-seeing and party trips

Inishmurray Island: €75 per person (minimum of six people needed).

Please note the Department of the Marine have just banned all commercial boats from landing on Inishmurray until further notice.

Killybegs: €75 per person (minimum of six people needed).

 

Rates

To hire the angling vessel “Prospector 1”, it is €600 per day (9.30am to 5pm). Rods and tackle hire: €20 per person.

Full day (9.30am to 5pm): €75 per person, rod and tackle hire €20 per person (if needed) all to make up a party of 10 anglers/tourists.

Half day (four hours): €50 per person (including rod and tackle hire).

Evening (two hours): €40 per person (including rod and tackle hire).

Big Game Fishing Trips : That is for Blue Shark, Skate, Giant Bluefin Tuna, catch, tag, and release ,€800 per day- 12hour day

In daylight only, Maximum of Anglers 6, Rods and Tackle included, generally 6am to 6pm

 

Payment on boarding before Departure: (No cash/no splash).

 

Lessons

Beginner’s welcome. No need to worry if you don’t know how to fish. Lessons provided – all levels.

 

What to bring

Bring your lunch, raingear including willies’ (just in case), and rod and tackle if you have it.

HOW TO REACH MULLAGHMORE

BY CAR

From Dublin via Cavan: Enniskillen M3. Head to Ballyshannon. Follow Bundoran/Sligo Road. Take right turn at Cliffoney and follow signs to Mullaghmore.

 

From Dublin via Sligo: Sligo M4 – N15.Head to Bundoran. Follow Bundoran/Sligo Road. Take left turn at Cliffoney and follow signs to Mullaghmore 3km.

 

From Galway via Sligo: Sligo N17 – N15.Head to Bundoran. Follow Bundoran/Sligo Road. Take left turn at Cliffoney and follow signs to Mullaghmore.

 

From Belfast via Enniskillen: Head to Ballyshannon. Follow Bundoran/Sligo Road. Take right turn

Blue, Mako, Porbeagle, Thresher, Six-gill Sharks.
Giant Blue Fin Tuna From Mid August early November.
Broad Bill Swoard Fish also swim with the giant Bluefinn Tuna.

The Skipper Peter Power

Peter Power is skipper of Prospector 1 and he has been a keen angler for over 30 years, ranging from sea angling experience on the East and West coasts of Ireland, together with Carribbean and Indian Ocean Big Game fishing experiences. In Addition, Peter has considerable angling experience of river, lake and estuary fishing.
